🔥What we’re watching: Matchain announced its integrating web3 game Raised in Oblivion (RIO) into the network alongside supporting future game developments.
🔥Why it matters: RIO was previously on Stream, but is rebuilding with blockchain technology with plans to build an in-game platform. In turn, it hopes to make it easier to transfer in-game assets and currencies with Matchain’s technology.
This is an emerging trend across the sector that is budding within traditional gaming studios that are starting to explore other web3 games’ successes and implement blockchain technology as a new way to innovate.
With Matchain’s emphasis on data sovereignty and security modules, RIO hopes to build off of these values and bring new experiences to crypto-native and web2 gamers.
